Arrival and Verona Glow
Land in Verona and ease into Italy rather than rushing. After dropping bags in the historic center, wander toward Piazza Bra where the Roman Arena anchors the square and cafés spill onto the pavements. Spend the afternoon adjusting, people‑watching and letting kids run in the gardens. As golden hour settles, ride the funicular up to Castel San Pietro for your first full sweep over Verona’s bridges and bell towers, then drift back down for a relaxed Veronese dinner.
Verona Lanes and Riverbend
With jet lag gone, this day is for sinking into Verona’s rhythm. Meander through medieval lanes, browsing small shops around Piazza delle Erbe and pausing at shaded cafés. Cross stone bridges to feel the city curve around the Adige, with plenty of gelato stops for the kids. Take it slowly rather than ticking sights, letting conversations and corners lead you. In the evening, return toward the Arena area for a relaxed dinner and one more stroll under the lit arches.
Verona to Bardolino Shores
Pack the car and leave Verona’s stone streets for the first glint of Lake Garda. The drive to Bardolino is short enough to keep it easy with kids. Arrive by late morning, stretch your legs along the promenade, and let the atmosphere shift from city to lakeside holiday. After a lake‑view lunch, spend the afternoon between playgrounds, small swims, and gelato. As the sun drops, board the ferry from Bardolino to Sirmione, watching castle towers sharpen ahead before returning for a late, relaxed dinner.
